Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Craft Academy and the website craft-academy.base44.app. Please read them carefully. By using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms, without prejudice to your statutory consumer rights.
About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions (these “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website craft-academy.base44.app (the “Site”) and the courses and services offered through it by Craft Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By browsing the Site, creating an account, registering for a course, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any statutory consumer rights you may have under applicable mandatory law, including the consumer-protection laws of Cyprus and, where you are resident in another EU/EEA jurisdiction, the mandatory protections of that jurisdiction. Where any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable in respect of a consumer, it will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Eligibility & Accounts
To use certain features of the Site you may create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when creating and maintaining your account, and to keep your account details up to date. You are responsible for keeping your account sign-in credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account, you should contact us promptly. We will not hold you responsible for a security incident that occurs through no fault of your own and outside your reasonable control. Where offered, you may sign in using Google Sign-In, which authenticates you through Google; your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google’s applicable terms. We may use the basic account information made available through that authentication to identify or create your Craft Academy account. You must not misuse the Site, including by engaging in fraud, providing false information, attempting unauthorised access, manipulating the registration or booking system, or any other unlawful activity. We may restrict, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, legal-compliance or protective reasons, without prejudice to any rights you may have under applicable law.
Courses
Craft Academy offers creative and practical courses — including writing, acting, sewing, tailoring, jewellery making, and arts & crafts — taught in small groups by experienced instructors. We aim to present course descriptions, schedules, levels, and instructor information as accurately as reasonably possible. Photographs may be representative of the studio environment or examples of student work; the individual course description controls what is covered. We reserve the right to correct genuine typographical or listing errors, subject to applicable consumer law. Where an error has led to an incorrect price or description, we will address it in accordance with applicable law, including, where required, by contacting you before proceeding or cancelling the affected registration with a full refund.
Course Prices
Course prices are displayed on the Site at the time of registration. The price applicable to your registration is the price displayed and confirmed during the registration and checkout process, subject to the correction of genuine errors where permitted by law. Craft Academy does not provide investment advice, and nothing on the Site constitutes a guarantee of any particular outcome from attending a course. Results depend on your own practice and effort.
Course Availability & Seats
Places on each course are limited. Registering does not by itself guarantee a place until payment is confirmed. A seat is reserved only according to the Craft Academy registration and seat-reservation process in effect at the time, which is governed by the Site’s logic and the rules in effect at the time of registration. Where a course becomes unavailable, or a seat cannot be confirmed because of overbooking or another exceptional circumstance, we may cancel the affected registration and refund any amount already paid, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Registrations
Submitting a registration through the Site constitutes your request to book a place on the selected course at the price and on the terms displayed at checkout. Registration submission, payment, and confirmation are distinct stages. A registration is generally confirmed when we (or our systems) confirm it following payment in accordance with the registration process; payment itself does not necessarily constitute confirmation where the process requires further confirmation. Craft Academy may refuse or cancel a registration where reasonably necessary because of: payment failure or decline; suspected fraud or unauthorised activity; an obvious pricing or listing error; a legal or regulatory restriction; or an inability to run the course. Any refund arising from such a cancellation will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the payment method used.
Prices
Prices for courses are displayed in the currency shown on the Site. Applicable taxes are handled according to the configuration in effect at the time of registration. Any applicable payment-related charges are displayed before you confirm your registration, and the final amount payable is shown to you before payment. We do not represent that any particular tax treatment or exemption applies to your transaction unless expressly stated; tax obligations may depend on your location and applicable law.
Payment
The payment methods available to you are those displayed at checkout. Craft Academy integrates third-party payment providers, including Stripe and PayPal where enabled, to process card and wallet payments. Payment processing is subject to the relevant provider’s systems, terms and policies. Where other payment methods, such as bank transfer or payment upon delivery, are enabled, their specific conditions and any requirements are displayed during checkout. Craft Academy does not guarantee the availability of any particular payment method, which may depend on your location, the provider, and the configuration in effect at the time.
Payment Charges
Any applicable payment-related charges are clearly displayed to you before you confirm payment, and the amount shown to you at the time of payment is authoritative for the transaction. We do not bind ourselves to any specific charge in these Terms; any charge is determined by the configuration in effect at the time of registration and shown to you before payment.
Attending Sessions
Course sessions are attended in person at the advertised studio or location, or online where the course is offered online. Session dates, times, and locations are shown on the course page and confirmed in your registration. You are responsible for arriving on time for in-person sessions and for ensuring you have the required access for online sessions. Where a session is delayed or rescheduled due to events outside our reasonable control, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and reschedule, subject to your statutory rights. In the event of any inconsistency, the terms applicable to your registration are those confirmed at the time of registration and these Terms.
International Participants
Craft Academy welcomes international participants on online courses. You are responsible for ensuring you can legally access and attend the course from your location, and for any local taxes or obligations that apply to you independently of Craft Academy.
Course Quality
Craft Academy is committed to accurately describing each course, its level, and what it covers. The individual course description controls what is included. We do not promise any particular outcome from attending a course; results depend on your own practice and effort.
Course Descriptions & Images
Course descriptions and instructor information are prepared in good faith and represent our reasonable assessment of the course. Photographs may show representative studio environments or examples of student work; the individual course description controls. We do not use this section to exclude liability for materially inaccurate descriptions, which remain subject to applicable law.
Offers
Craft Academy does not operate an offer or price-negotiation system. Course prices are as displayed at the time of registration. Any discounts or promotional codes are applied as displayed, and their terms are shown at the time of use.
Auctions
Craft Academy does not run auctions. Places on courses are allocated through registration only, on a first-come, first-served basis subject to availability and payment confirmation.
Future Course Dates
Some courses may be listed before their confirmed start date. Listed start dates are the current best estimate and may change; we will notify registered participants of any material change. Where a material delay or change occurs, it will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer law, including any statutory cancellation or refund rights you may have. We do not provide for indefinite delay and nothing in this section removes any statutory cancellation or refund rights you may have.
Cancellations, Returns & Refunds
Course registrations are services. Where the statutory right of withdrawal applies under applicable consumer law, you may withdraw from a registration within 14 days of registering, provided the course has not yet begun with your consent. To exercise this right, contact Craft Academy at hello@craft-academy.base44.app within the applicable 14-day period and clearly state that you wish to withdraw. Because courses are services performed to your specification or on a specific date, the right of withdrawal may not apply once the course has begun with your consent, or where you have requested performance to begin during the withdrawal period. Where a course is cancelled or rescheduled by Craft Academy, you will be entitled to a refund in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you may have where a service is not provided as described. Refunds approved following a valid withdrawal or other statutory remedy will be processed in accordance with applicable law and the relevant payment method.
Refunds
Approved refunds are generally returned through the original or applicable payment method where supported. Processing times depend on the payment provider and your bank and may take longer than the time it takes us to initiate the refund. We do not guarantee a specific bank processing time for refunds, as this is outside our control.
Intellectual Property
The Craft Academy branding, website design, text, graphics and other proprietary site content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or otherwise exploit Craft Academy’s proprietary site content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law. We do not claim ownership of third-party trademarks, works, or other third-party intellectual property, which remain the property of their respective owners. All third-party marks are referenced for identification and descriptive purposes only.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to: use the Site for any fraudulent or unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its systems or another user’s account; interfere with or disrupt the Site or its operation; use automated means to access or collect data from the Site in a manner that is excessive or harmful; manipulate the registration or booking system; impersonate another person or entity; or assist any third party in doing any of the foregoing. We may take reasonable measures, including restricting or suspending access, to prevent abuse and protect the Site and its users, subject to applicable law.
Third-Party Services
The Site relies on third-party services such as payment processors, authentication providers and infrastructure providers. These services are governed by their own applicable terms and policies, and their availability and performance are not entirely within our control. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party service providers except to the extent required by applicable law.
Service Availability
We aim to maintain the availability of the Site but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, technical problems or events outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect the availability or performance of the Site. Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and without affecting any statutory consumer rights, Craft Academy’s liability for any single claim arising in connection with the Site or your purchases is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order, except where a higher liability is required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; defective products under applicable law; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These Terms do not affect any statutory consumer rights you may have under the law of Cyprus or, where you reside in another EU/EEA jurisdiction, the mandatory protections of that jurisdiction.
Force Majeure / Events Outside Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures to perform that are caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural events, venue or instructor unavailability, government measures, or failures of third-party providers. Where a delay or failure is caused by such circumstances, we will take reasonable steps to resume performance or reschedule as soon as reasonably practicable, subject to your statutory rights.
Privacy
Processing of your personal data in connection with the Site is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://craft-academy.base44.app/privacy-policy. Please review that policy for information about how we collect, use and protect your personal information and the rights you have in relation to it.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes apply prospectively from the “Last updated” date shown on this page and do not retroactively alter transactions already completed under the previous version. Where material changes are required by law to be communicated, we will do so in the manner required. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, without prejudice to your statutory rights.
Governing Law & Consumer Rights
These Terms and any dispute arising in connection with the Site or your purchases are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of the EU/EEA jurisdiction in which you reside. For consumers, nothing in this section deprives you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you have your habitual residence, to the extent that protection cannot be derogated from by contract. Any dispute may, where applicable, be brought before the competent court of the jurisdiction in which you reside, or before the courts of Cyprus, as provided by applicable law.
